American Lung Association meets BBB Wise Giving Alliance Standards

Membership

Membership

Membership is open to individuals with a degree in medicine or a doctoral degree in a related field, as well as non-doctoral prepared individuals with a degree and experience in nursing or respiratory therapy. While membership in both the CTS and ATS in encouraged, it is not required to join the ATS in order to be a CTS member.

Benefits

The CTS provides professional education opportunities. Members receive reduced fees for conferences, including a Lung Research Conference and Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions. All members receive access to an internet forum in which information can be easily exchanged and serves as an online case conference.

The CTS acts as a strong advocate for issues for which the membership requests support. It provides a network for members to exchange ideas and information through membership. The sections meet throughout the year for case conferencing, to hear top name speakers, and to address professional concerns. For example, the CTS Sleep Disorders Section was recently instrumental in convincing insurance companies to revise their reimbursement policy to cover certain proceedures, thereby providing better patient service.

To access a membership application, please download and fill out a pdf of the application.
